Software Upgrade Launched

Seattle-based Carena announced a major upgrade to their telemedicine software platform at the ATA 2014 Conference to improve integration with local hospital systems and provider clinics. Carena’s ANYTIME 1.5 platform is able to create a health system-integrated virtual clinic that goes beyond just enabling consultations via phone or video chat. (more…)

NIH Supports New Ultrasound System

The National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) within NIH is funding the development of new imaging technology to enable physicians to perform ultrasound-guided procedures involving needle placement such as needle biopsies, central line insertions, and local anesthesia. Vermont DOC Issues RFP

The Department of Corrections (DOC) within the Agency of Human Services (AHS) in the state of Vermont, is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to provide a range of health services for inmates at its correctional facilities. CMS Restructuring QIO

CMS is restructuring the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) Program. This will allow two Beneficiary and Family Centered Care (BFCC) QIO contractors to support the program’s case review and monitoring activities separate from the tradition quality improvement activities of the QIOs. (more…)
