Call for Proposals Issued

The World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for the Western Pacific has issued a Call for Proposals within the Region to find innovative research and development projects for medicines, diagnostics, and other health technologies. The goal is to find ways to treat diseases and conditions that disproportionately affect developing countries in the Western Pacific Region. The deadline for submission is November 1, 2013. (more…)

VNAA Releases Issue Brief

Today, payments are in decline and more cuts are on the horizon. Meanwhile the population is getting older, sicker, and demanding more and more complex services. Veterans Health Administration’s VISN 20 Chief Medical Officer Frank Marre reports that VISN 20 is currently working on developing an up-to-date responsive call center. This is not a small problem as VISN 20 receives about 200,000 calls per month but roughly 40,000 veterans hang up because of poor phone service and long waits. (more…)
