Telemonitoring for Asthma Patients
AMC Health’s telemonitoring platform is going to be used in a research study to monitor patients that need to improve their asthma control. The goal is to see whether asthma patients are using their medications and be able to intervene as soon as possible if a problem develops. (more…)

On October 15th, the Health Data Consortium announced that the Merck Heritage Provider Network Innovation Challenge is open for submissions. Entrants will be eligible for a prize worth $240,000 in non-dilutive capital, access to industry mentorship, an invitation to attend a boot camp, and have the opportunity to participate in a mini-pilot. Advances in Battlefield Medicine
The Army has been making advances in battlefield medicine in treating U.S. service members in Afghanistan in a number of ways. For example, with the influx of service members living with brain injuries, the Army has created a number of concussion care centers set up to specifically treat mild traumatic brain injuries. (more…)
