USDA www.usda.gov has awarded $4.7 million in Distance Learning and Telemedicine (DLT) www.rd.usda.gov/programs-services/distance-learning-telemedicine-grants grants to support eleven distance learning and seven telemedicine projects that have now been added to the 80 DLT projects that were announced in July. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) www.nist.gov is working with industry partners to integrate commercial technologies into a mobile wireless communications system.
