Telehealth Actions on the Hill

Senator Mazie K. Hirono, (D-HI) a member of both the Senate Armed Services and Veterans Affairs Committees with Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) have issued an amendment (S.A. 2114) to be incorporated as part of the newly drafted National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Remote Monitoring Contract Awarded

The Veterans Administration (VA) awarded a sole source contract (VA7977N-14-C-0013) to St Jude Medical Inc. in Saint Paul Minnesota for $348,000 for their remote monitoring system. The company is focusing on cardiac rhythm management, atrial fibrillation, cardiovascular, and neuromodulation. (more…)
