DHCF Helping D.C Residents

On December 4, 2017, the District of Columbia’s Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) https://dhcf.dc.gov  released a grant funding notice with applications to be submitted by January 5, 2018, seeking to improve access to healthcare. This funding initiative is going to link residents living in homeless shelters or in public housing directly to telehealth services by providing $150,000 for two grants totaling $75,000 each. Military’s Virtual Health Role

According to an article appearing in the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center’s (TATRC) newsletter called “TATRC Times”, the Army’s Virtual Health (VH) program is working rapidly to provide vital medical capability at the point of need. Grants for eConsult Network Pilots

Harvard Pilgrim Health Care http://harvardpilgrim.org grants totaling $ 32,000, support the Weitzman Institute’s www.weitzmaninstitute.org Community eConsult Network (CeCN) expansion of electronic specialty consults in Connecticut. The electronic consults will make it easier for patients to access specialty consults and care by providing their primary care providers with quick access to a network of board certified specialists.
