DLT Awards 72 Grants
USDA https://www.rd.usda.gov recently awarded 72 grants totaling $23.6 million through their Distance Learning and Telemedicine (DLT) Grant Program. The program invests in equipment that uses broadband to help rural communities connect to educational and healthcare services. Several recipients will use the grants to help address two of the nation’s most urgent needs which include opioid abuse treatment and mental health counseling. (more…)
Forming a New Partnership
A new alliance between GE Healthcare www.gehealthcare.com and Roche Diagnostics www.roche.com, is going to develop data driven software by marrying in-vivo and in-vitro diagnostics data with the latest clinical research. The problem is that patient information can be siloed in different departments which can mean that sets of records or even hospitals and their care teams don’t always see the full clinical picture.
