USDA’s DLT Grant Awards
USDA awarded $39.6 million through USDA’s “Distance Learning and Telemedicine (DLT) Grant Program to enable 118 projects to increase access to job training, education, and healthcare services in rural areas. AI Bots to Improve Healthcare
Accenture is using two interactive virtual-assistant bots named Ella and Ethan to upgrade their Accenture Intelligent Patient Platform. The use of AI enables the system to make intelligent recommendations for interactions between life sciences companies, patients, healthcare providers, and caregivers. The bots are part of Accenture’s Fullforce Solutions powered by Salesforce Health Cloud and Einstein AI, as well as Amazon’s Alexa. (more…)
AHRQ Funds Study on Telemedicine
AHRQ https://www.ahrq.gov within HHS is funding the “Patient Choice of Telemedicine Encounters” project for $1,874,785. The telemedicine project was initiated last May at the Kaiser Foundation Research Institute https://www.kff.org in Oakland California with Mary Reed as Principal Investigator.
