The Veterans Administration has made strides in understanding how the brain works as in the case of PTSD, an anxiety disorder often associated with veterans but also occurring in the general population. So far, the VA has established much of the evidence relating to the biological basis of PTSD and how to treat PTSD by using prolonged exposure and cognitive processing therapies. (more…)
Penn Med Partners with Teqqa
Penn Medicine and Teqqa LLC a software and analytics company are collaborating on ways to track antibiotics prescribed in clinical settings. They will work together to develop a new software platform and mobile app to encourage appropriate antibiotic use by providing real-time data to clinicians. Bill to Reform Federal Procurement

LA County & Netsmart Launch IBHIS
The Integrated Behavioral Health Information System (IBHIS), within the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH), is a comprehensive behavioral health clinical, administrative and financial information system. Device to Monitor Heart Failure

Mississippi’s Plans for IT
The Department of IT Services recently released their “Mississippi Strategic Master Plan for IT 2014-2016” relating how budgeting and funding of IT within the state government is done on an agency by agency basis. According to the plan, the goal is to find opportunities to develop and implement IT services that are common to multiple agencies and governmental programs. (more…)
