VA & DOD Launch Study on TBIs
The Veterans Administration (VA) https://www.va.gov and the Department of Defense (DOD) have launched the “Long-Term Impact of Military-related Brain Injury Consortium” (LIMBIC). The two organizations have pledged to fund up to $50 million to research mild Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) or concussions. Telehealth for Maternal Fetal Medicine
More patients in the Northern part of Alabama can now see medical specialists from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). The Appalachian Regional Commission is providing $200,000 to enable UAB’s Maternal-Fetal Medicine team to see high risk patients remotely. (more…)
