GlobalMed https://www.globalmed.com, a provider of telehealth solutions announced that their virtual health platform has earned the Defense Health Agency’s (DHA) Authority https://www.health.mil/dha to operate the DHA Medical Community of Interest (Med COI) network.
GlobalMed’s virtual health solutions are the first synchronous clinical virtual health technologies awarded the Authority to Operate (AOA) by DHA. GlobalMed’s virtual telemedicine platform is able to seamlessly and securely connect healthcare professionals and patients regardless of location.
It now makes it possible for GlobalMed to integrate their virtual health platform including carts, medical devices, software, and applications directly with DHA’s Med COI network plus have GlobalMed’s solutions be integrated with MHS Genesis.
The new system is designed to provide a single continuous record of care for all DOD beneficiaries. DHA’s network includes 721 military treatment facilities and 174,000 healthcare personnel, which enables health services to be provided to approximately 9.6 million beneficiaries.
