CDC’s Grant Notice Forecast

CDC https://www.grants.gov posted a grant forecast on September 4, 2019 with the funding notice estimated to be posted November 5, 2019. The “Notice of Funding Opportunity Announcement” (NODO) (RFA-DP-20-001) is titled “Assessing the Burden of Diabetes by Type in Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults” (DiCAYA). The estimated program funding is expected to be $15,000.000.

The funding notice was issued to conduct surveillance to assess the incidence and prevalence of diabetes among children, adolescents, and young adults in the U.S and to estimate the prevalence of diabetes by type, age, sex, race/ethnicity and geographic area.

The goal is to focus on diabetes among children and adolescents less than 18 years old, focus on diabetes among young adults from 18 to 45 years, and develop a Coordinating Center to provide standardized study approaches plus develop analytical methods and surveillance measures.
