Axia Women’s Health http://www.axiawh.com, a large integrated OB/GYN healthcare provider is using the Verato http://www.verato.com Universal ™ Master Patient Index (MPI) to improve patient matching across the organization. The Verato Universal MPI is a cloud-based services using a Referential Matching approach to deliver accurate patient matching.

Axia Women’s Health brought together two large practices, one in New Jersey and a practice in Pennsylvania to form one integrated women’s healthcare community with more than 275 providers and 100 women health centers. Axia Women’s Health now spans OB/GYN physicians, breast health centers, high-risk pregnancy centers, laboratories, urogynecology, and fertility centers.

The Verato Universal MPI is pre-populated with pre-mastered data and continuously updates demographic data spanning the entire U.S population. The system uses the Referential Matching approach so the pre-mastered database can match and link identities.

They are now able to match external data such as claims and clinical data from other care providers. Axia Women’s Health was able to deploy the Verato Universal MPI is just six weeks which included integrating the MPI with their eClinicalWorks EMR.
