Zeroing in on AI & Other Tech

An estimated 86 percent of healthcare provider organizations, life science companies, and technology vendors are already using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. These groups will spend an average of $54 million on AI projects by 2020 as compared to the current average spending of $38 million according to a Tata Consultancy Services Global Trends Study.

To meet the needs of new technologies in the 21st century, a new group “Partnership for Artificial Intelligence and Automation in Healthcare” (PATH) www.pathhealth.com has been established to study and promote Artificial Intelligence, (AI), robotics, and related technologies with the goal to deliver more efficient and less costly healthcare.

PATH is going to bring health systems, industry, payers, and regulators together to discover how the technologies can be used to improve the delivery of medicines, reduce costs, and expand access to healthcare services to millions of people worldwide.

This mission-driven membership-based group is going to bring together all stakeholders to resolve issues such as public policy oversight, personal safety, and how to integrate such revolutionary advances into healthcare systems.

Two established widely-known leaders in healthcare and technology plus a distinguished Board of Advisors are going to lead PATH. Jonathan Linkous, founder and former CEO of the American Telemedicine Association, and Mary Ann Liebert, CEO of Mary Ann Liebert Inc. are both Co-Founders of PATH.

Along with PATH Co-Founders, the PATH Board of Advisors includes:

  • Stephen Klasko MD, President and CEO of Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health
  • Jay H. Sanders MD, CEO, The Global Telemedicine Group and Professor of Medicine (Adjunct) at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine
  • Sue Siegel, Chief Innovation Officer, GE and CEO of GE Innovations
  • Rick Valencia, President, QUALCOMM Life
  • Yulun Wang PhD, Founder and President, InTouch Health

Membership to PATH offers benefits and opportunities to understand and deal with all of the in-depth information in the field. PATH is offering a one-time discount of ten percent off membership fees for sign-up prior to July 15, 2018.

An exciting opportunity is coming for attendees to network with experts and peers at the “PATH Summit” coming to Washington D.C on September 30-October 2, 2018. Details and registration will be announced soon.
