Mass General Helping in China

Massachusetts General Hospital (Mass General)  www.massgeneral.org and Jiahui Health Network (JHN) www.jiahui.com have announced that they are collaborating to create the Jiahui International Hospital (JIH) in China’s Shanghai Province. This agreement resulted when clinical and operational learning opportunities along with workshops were held in the U.S and China.

Slated to open in October 2017, the 300 bed hospital will initially focus on cancer care and research and then expand to care for patients across a wide spectrum of illnesses and diseases. Mass General will provide guidance in physical infrastructure, operations, and governance as well as expertise in key clinical areas to include nursing, patient care services, and cancer care.

According to David Cook MD, Chief Clinical and Operations Officer and President of JIH, “By establishing this collaboration with Mass General, we are bringing the concept of a world-class patient-centered and top quality healthcare to China via high technology, superior operations management, and top patient care to the hospital.
