Expanding Mental Health Services

Netsmart www.ntst.com and the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) http://mhs.ohio.gov are expanding collaborative services. OhioMHAS is now going to use the Netsmart clinical financial technology platform across their six regional psychiatric hospitals.

The expanded collaboration will provide the hospitals with a single consolidated health record for each patient. Netsmart will also provide OhioMHAS with key clinical and operational capabilities.

These capabilities are currently being done through multiple fragmented systems such as the CPOE system along with pharmacy, incident reporting, and billing. The partnership will also enable OhioMHAS to standardize workflows and reports, streamline documentation and reporting, and improve clinical and operational efficiencies.

Netsmart will expand the use of their EHR referred to as “myAvatar®CareRecord™” www.ntst.com/Solutions-We-offer/products/myavatar.aspx along with related solutions. The solutions will support integrated billing, e-prescribing and electronic medication, administration records referred to as” eMar”, and forensic and civil processes common in state psychiatric care.

The solution “myAvatar®CareRecord” enables the whole organization to use it as it houses predefined templates for typical organizational roles. Through the technologies widget design, users can easily drag and drop various functions into their own personalized page. All user interface options are tightly integrated with the system’s security, so the menu structure reflects only those options where the user has access.
