PCORI Seeks Letters of Inquiry

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) www.pcori.org helps people to make informed healthcare decisions to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes by producing high integrity evidence-based information that comes from research guided by patients, caregivers, and the broader healthcare community. 

On November 3, 2015 PCORI announced that they were open to Letters of Inquires (LOI) for their Eugene Washington PCORI Engagement Awards program and plans are to award $20.5 million in FY 2016.

The Institute is looking for projects that encourage active integration of patients, caregivers, clinicians, and other healthcare stakeholders as members of the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research /Clinical Effectiveness Research (PCOR/CER) enterprise.

Applications may be submitted by any private or public-sector organization including any nonprofit or for-profit organization, local, state, or federal government. Non-domestic components of organizations based in the U.S and foreign organizations may apply as long as there is demonstrable benefit to the U.S healthcare system and U.S efforts in the area of patient-centered research.

LOIs must be received by February 1, 2016. After the LOIs are reviewed, applicants will be invited to submit complete applications which will need to be submitted within 40 days after receiving the invitation to bid.
