Mobile App Helps Patients & Providers

TouchCare www.touchcare.com has just announced a major update to their software with several new features to make physicians’ day-to-day operations even more efficient. This updated TouchCare app is available via a simple download from the App Store www.appstore.com and Google Play http://play.google.com/store/apps?hl=en.

One of the newest features includes the “Practice Dashboard” which enables practices to easily delegate telemedicine workflow to the right staff members by granting them access to conduct common functions on behalf of physicians and other team members.

The Practice Dashboard is accessible by desktop browser for easy viewing. Faster management, and capabilities include clinic setup and profile management, patient invitations and onboarding, plus appointment scheduling.

TouchCare’s new integrated credit card payment feature enables direct revenue generation via telemedicine and can be used to charge co-pays or fees for services. The app leverages Stripe, a mobile payment platform enabling direct patient payment for TouchCare video calls.

The provider can set or adjust the price for any scheduled call and also do both free and paid consults, or waive a fee at the conclusion of a call. Patients must have a credit card on file before accepting a fee-based appointment to ensure seamless automatic payment without any extra steps or follow up.

Additionally, all TouchCare users are now going to benefit from appointment verification improvements including acceptance notifications, video enhancements to improve the quality and reliability of video connections, an optional security passcode feature, and improved access to activity details.

“TouchCare is creating a personalized network of patients, providers, and institutions”, according to Damian Gilbert, TouchCare’s Founder and CEO. “Instead of connecting consumers to an unknown physician, we facilitate mobile video calls and deeper engagement with doctors and practices that individuals already know and trust.”
