The Defense Health Services Systems (DHSS) TRICARE Online (TOL) application with Radiology Results is now included as a DOD Blue Button data category. Radiology Results provides the latest certified EHR radiology result data available on procedures, status, exam data, approved by reading radiologist, transcription date, supervising radiologist, supervised data, final report verifier, verification date, and the radiology facility.
All certified results, including CXR, mammograms, sinus series, and fractures plus other results contained within the beneficiary’s EHR, will display in the Blue Button Radiology Results application seven days after the data is verified by the radiologist.
Additionally, DHSS in partnership with Defense Health Clinical Systems have successfully migrated DOD’s Blue Button data from the Bi-Directional Health Information Exchange (BHIE) to the DOD Adaptor.
The DOD Blue Button previously used the BHIE to retrieve data from the Military Health System’s EHR system as well as from data at the Veteran’s Administration. The transition of BHIE data to the DOD Adaptor will result in improved performance from the user’s perspective.
The data includes a historical summary of appointment data including patient name, date, time, military hospital and clinic name, and is now available for access via TOLs DOD Blue Button.
