NIH Seeks mHealth for LMICs
Participating organizations within NIH have issued the funding announcement on May 2016, titled “Mobile Health: Technology and Outcomes in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMIC)” http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAR-16-292.html. PCORI Approves Telemedicine Project
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) www.pcori.org recently approved $20 million for four projects to support patient-centered research projects involving breast screening, cerebral palsy, Hepatitis C Virus (HCV), and stress management. Armed Forces Studying Zika

Researchers at the University of Toledo (UT) www.utoledo.edu have developed a new medical device to help reduce infections from spinal surgery. World Bank Approves Loan
The World Bank www.worldbank.org Board of Executive Directors have approved an International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) loan for $56 million. The funding is going to help Gabon a state on the west coast of Central Africa develop ICT to help more patients. (more…)
