Seeking Cybersecurity Solutions

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in their Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) https://dhs.gov/science-and-technology, along with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) https://cisa.gov are partners working together to create a laboratory.

The lab will be a secure multi-cloud environment that will promote research, collaboration, and the testing of cyber related tradecraft, tools, and datasets. The lab’s capabilities will expand beyond cyber focused missions to include a wider range of infrastructure security threats and assessments and also seek comments from relevant user groups in industry and academia.

For CISA, the lab will leverage artificial intelligence machine learning models and other advanced data analytics to provide greater situational awareness to inform decision-makers. The lab will also have tools that catalog, prepare, and analyze data, build and validate models, and other tools that comprise a rich analytics ecosystem.

For DHA, the new lab will enable S&T to have an opportunity to evaluate innovative computational and analytic approaches to not only benefit CISA stakeholders but the DHS enterprise.
