AvaSure https://avasure.com and their partner Sierra7 https://www.sierra7.com have been awarded a $65 million, 10 year contract to provide TeleCare Companion solutions across the VA’s national healthcare system.
The Veterans Health Administration’s (VHA), Office of Health Informatics (OHI) awarded the contract. The VHA provides care at over 1,200 health care facilities, serving 9 million enrolled Veterans each year.
Under the agreement, AvaSure’s TeleSitter® Solution can be deployed as a safe and cost effective patient observation, communication, and analytic solution for the VHA TeleCare Companion initiative.
AvaSure’s solution enables one trained VA employee to monitor up to 38 patients simultaneously, preventing not only falls, but violence against caregivers plus other adverse events. The system is now located in all top 10 U.S health systems and 826 hospitals across 48 states and Canada with the TeleSitter solution in use at 21 VA hospitals.
