Ai & Surescripts Establish Partnership

Audacious Inquiry (Ai), a leader in connected care and Surescripts a health information network, are combining forces to integrate Surescripts’ medication history data into Ai’s Patient Unified Lookup System for Emergencies™ (PULSE)™ Enterprise.

The Pulse Platform allows providers to access medical information for patients in emergencies to enable Ai and Surescripts to work together to improve patient care management during declared disasters.

Pulse Enterprise was developed in partnership with the California Emergency Medical Services Authority with funding from the Office of the National Coordinator for HIT (ONC) within HHS.

During emergencies, impacted individuals and their families frequently receive medical care from providers or emergency response personnel outside of their typical care network. PULSE Enterprise a cloud-based software solution, allows electronic patient data to be viewed by providers in nonroutine healthcare settings.

Medication maintenance is one of the most common healthcare needs following disasters. Integration of Surescripts Medication History into PULSE Enterprise enables emergency response personnel working in non-routine care settings to view patients’ consolidated medication history lists during declared emergencies.

In other Ai news related to treating patients in emergencies, the Texas Health Services Authority (THSA) covering multiple regions, a local hospital partner, and Ai are planning to leverage the Situational Awareness Network for Emergency Response (SANER) Project with funding awarded from the Office of the National Coordinator for HIT.

The SANER Project is an industry-wide collaboration led by Ai that aims to create more effective data sharing to provide real time situational awareness of healthcare system capacity in the COVID-19 pandemic and in future public health emergencies.
