SAMHSA Issues Grant Notice

The Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic Expansion Grants Program (CCBHC) within Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) https://www.samhsa.gov, is funding the expansion of CCBHC to increase access and improve the quality of the services offered.

The CCBHC grant funding announcement posted December 29, 2020 with estimated total program funding for $149,000,000 has set the deadline for applications to be March 1, 2021. The grant funding will be used to increase access to and improve the quality of community mental and substance use disorder treatment services through the expansion of CCBHCs.

The grant program provides access to services including 24/7 crisis intervention services for individuals with:

  • Serous mental illness or substance use disorders, including opioid use disorders,\
  • Children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance
  • Individuals with co-occurring mental and substance disorders

 

Eligible applicants for the grants are limited to certified community behavioral health clinics or community-based behavioral health clinics who may not yet be certified but meet the certification criteria and will be certified within 4 months of the award.
