Mayo & Safe Health Working Together

Mayo Clinic https://mayoclinic.org and Safe Health Group Inc. https://safehealth.me are working together to form a venture to focus on reducing the cost of low complexity care and commodity diagnostics on a mass scale. Safe Health Systems through their technology platform called SAFE, intends to improve access to efficient and affordable treatments for common medical conditions.

This venture is part of the Mayo Clinic Platform https://newsnetwork.mayoclinicorg, a strategic initiative to improve healthcare through insights and knowledge derived from data and delivered through platform business models.

“The Mayo Clinic Platform will address the future of virtual care which includes on-demand diagnostic testing, tracking of lab results, and proof of vaccine administration in support of post COVID-19. Safe Health Systems. By working with Mayo Clinic, the goal is to provide the suite of apps and services that universities, employers, and organizations need to restart in-person activities and support new care models,” said John Halamka M.D., President, Mayo Clinic Platform.

The SAFE platform emerged from the Mayo Clinic and Arizona State University’s Alliance for Health Care MedTech Accelerator Program that are designed to accelerate use-inspired research and to improve patient care and outcomes through innovations.

The platform enables the rapid implementation of custom digital health applications, by combining digital provider services AI-based care automation and remote POC diagnostics. The absence of remote testing is currently a limiting factor for digital and telehealth treatment of common low-complexity ailments.

“The SAFE platform will work to improve patient care through innovation”, according to Ken Mayer, CEO Safe Health Systems. “The system will enable testing for COVID-19, sexually transmitted diseases, and other common medical ailments.”
