Funds for Delta Health Care Services

The funding notice under the Delta Health Care Services Grant Program (DHCS) (RBCS-DHCS-2020) seeking applications was announced on July 10, 2020 in the Federal Register. USDA’s Rural Business-Cooperative Service made the announcement that $6,112,667 in competitive grant funds will be available for the 2020 DHCS program.

The DHCS grant program provides financial assistance to address the continued unmet health needs in the Delta Region. Grants are awarded to promote cooperation among healthcare professionals, institutions of higher education, research institutions, and other entities in the Delta Region.

Each fiscal year, applications are requested through a Notice published in the Federal Register and through an announcement posted on https://grants.gov. Grant funds must be used to develop healthcare services, health education programs, healthcare job training programs, or for the development and expansion of public health related facilities in the Delta region.

Applications for funding may come from regional institutions of higher education, academic health and research institutions, and/or economic development entities located within the Delta Region. Individuals are not eligible for this program. Applications are due August 24, 2020.
