HHS Issues RFI on COVID-19

The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health within HHS https://hhs.gov/ash/index.html seeks information to gain a comprehensive understanding of how organizations, networks, non-federal government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders in the U.S have defined as “resilience” in their respective components of the health system. Resilience within components of the health system can include the use of data, and using analytic approaches and proven indicators.

The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH) is looking for the definition of health system resilience within the context of the organization, what key indicators or data sets are being used within your organization to assess health system resilience, and what existing methods data sources and analytic approaches are being used to assess and monitor health system resilience in private healthcare systems.

OASH also wants information in the RFI to strengthen resilience via public-private partnerships involved in data sharing and comprehensive analytics. There is the need to answer the question in response to the RFI as to what data sources your organization uses to assess the resilience of the health system and what demographic populations are covered by the data systems. The RFI seeks to identify organizations that would be interested in discussing the form and function of these collaborations.

OASH is also interested in ideas on the form and function of the public-private partnership model that can be used to continually assess and monitor health system resilience and individuals as well as population health outcomes. Also, HHS wants to know what private and public sectors should engage as part of such a collaborative effort.

HHS encourages all potentially interested parties to include individuals, associations, governmental, non-governmental organizations, academic institutions, and private sector entities to respond.

To be considered, comments must be received no later than July 8, 2020 at midnight. Responses can be submitted to OASHcomments@hhs.gov. Indicate “RFI RESPONSE” in the subject line.
