Partnership to Offer Telenursing

TeleHealth Services https://www.telehealth.com located in Cary North Carolina and Banyan Medical Systems https://banyamed.com, have launched a new partnership to provide audiovisual telenursing solutions. The telenursing solutions will be provided at no cost to Telehealth Services’ client hospitals to assist in carrying for COVID-19 patients.

Banyan’s Telehealth Aid Program for Hospitals (TAP4H) selected TeleHealth Services hospitals and will equip up to five isolation rooms at these hospitals at no cost. This is being done as part of a rapid response program to help hospitals deliver care while at the same time deal with potential nurse shortages during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kevin Colores, TeleHealth Services General Manager reports, “TeleHealth Services expertise with interactive patient care technology and AV systems is a key factor in rapidly deploying this telenursing solutions.”

The virtual care system can be configured to operate with a fully trained staff within 14 days. By conducting certain clinical assessments from a remote workstation, nurses are better protected. The telenursing solution also conserves PPE for hospitals. Remote staff can supplement existing patient care professionals with admissions, education, patient requests, safety companionship, and discharge planning.

According to Tony Buda, CEO Banyan Medical Systems, “Our partners at MarinHealth, located near San Francisco are using telenursing to treat patients remotely and triage coronavirus patients due to concerns about spreading the virus inside the hospital.”
