AI Detects Retinal Issues

This is achieved by using 20/20 NOW FDA approved equipment and software capable of enhancing retinal images immediately using AI.

It has been found that only about half of persons with type 2 diabetes on average receive an annual eye exam. With the widespread epidemic of diabetes, optometrists can now work with 20/20 NOW’s Ocular Telehealth System to identify diabetic retinopathy and are able to refer patients much sooner for treatment to avoid complications.

According to the company’s advisor, Bryan M. Rogoff, OD, “By providing optometrists with AI to enhance retinal images, they are able to diagnose retinal disease with more confidence during a telehealth exam.”
