American Well https://www.americanwell.com exhibiting at the American Telemedicine Association Annual Meeting in Chicago, announced that American Well and 19Labs www.19labs.com, the creator of GALE Telehealth 2.0 point of care solutions are partnering. The companies can now provide their customers access to GALE Kiosks and Tablet solutions.
This partnership will make it possible for employers, schools, and nursing facilities to do a full comprehensive remote exam. 19Labs GALE powered by American Well will be able to offer full virtual visits securely using the industry’s latest digital health diagnostic devices made available by third party providers.
American Well has announced the release of AW11, which makes it even easier for providers to deliver care virtually via a newly designed provider interface. AW11 offers system wide telemedicine offerings in the hospital setting and enables delivering telehealth from within an EMR.
This new enhanced provider app will feature:
- The ability to bring the EMR directly to American Well’s telehealth visits to enable providers to continue documenting without having to open a separate app
- Improved workflow efficiency resulting from a redesigned provider interface, new-in-app visuals, and be able to automatically enroll providers so they can be up and running quickly on the platform
- Expanding the geographic reach through a new “global home” feature giving providers a seamless way to view patients from across practices and then exchange services via system to system to serve consumers across the U.S.
In addition, American Well has announced that the company has entered into an agreement to acquire Avizia https://www.avizia.com, a major player in acute care telehealth. This acquisition will provide American Well with more extensive acute care capabilities and help patients avoid visits to the doctor’s office when they may be contagious and be of danger to other patients..
The company will now be able to provide hospital-based cart lineup and custom software workflows for more than forty clinical specialties including telestroke and tele-behavioral health to more than 40 clinical specialties. Now all of the clients in the specialties will be able to choose one comprehensive single platform solution.
