Global Partnership to Deliver Virtual Care

Royal Philips https://www.philips.com/global and American Well www.americanwell.com are connecting consumers with care professionals has signed a strategic partnership to enable both the organizations to effectively and securely deliver virtual care solutions worldwide.

Via this new video technology partnership, the two companies will work together to use American Well’s mobile telehealth services with an array of Philips solutions. This will provide help for consumers and patients with medical needs.

Phase one of the partnership will incorporate American Well’s telehealth service into the Philips “Avent uGrow” https://www.usa.philips.com/c-m-mo/ugrow-baby-development-tracker   parenting app. uGrow is designed to support parents monitoring their baby’s development and connects wirelessly to an ecosystem of devices such as the Philips Avent smart baby monitor.

The telehealth update to uGrow has been announced in the U.S and will be available to download from the App Store and Google Play.

American Well will provide secure on-demand real-time video connection to relevant healthcare professionals such as a pediatrician, adult medical doctor, or mental health specialist online via a  mobile phone 7/24 to help with scheduling appointments with lactation consultants. For this service, consumers will pay a fee, which differs by care professional type and consultation duration.

Beyond the introduction of uGrow, Philips will leverage American Well’s mobile telehealth software development kit that will enable the integration of video visits seamlessly into a diverse set of Philips’ population health and clinical systems based on the Philips HealthSuite Digital Platform. This platform enables consumers and patients to have secure and full control over their personal data from their connected devices.

Philips will also join the American Well Exchange clinical services marketplace to enable healthcare partners to exchange telehealth services and redistribute them to new patient populations via the Exchange.
