Telehealth Clinics Aid Underserved Areas

AMD Global Telemedicine Inc. (AMD) www.amdtelemedicine.com, pioneer of Telemedicine Encounter Management Solutions (TEMS) and Jenysis Global www.jenysisglobal.com designer of sustainable, modular, and rapidly deployable infrastructure for remote environments are partnering to offer self-contained telehealth clinics. These telehealth clinics help in times of disaster recovery, provide care in underserved communities, and provide care in military and remote work environments.

The self-contained telehealth clinics called “Jenysis Healthcare Solutions” (JHS) were built to provide access to care through telemedicine. The clinics are delivered fully equipped with telemedicine technologies, medical equipment, and a completely sustainable infrastructure that includes water, power, HVAC, and satellite. The telehealth clinic can be quickly deployed in areas where terrestrial communication lines are unreliable, damaged, or non-existent, and then be able to provide immediate access to medical care.

“In recent years, with the increase in natural disasters, healthcare preparedness programs have become critical components of the healthcare strategy for each country,” commented Eric Bacon, President of AMD Global Telemedicine.

He adds, “Integrating telehealth technologies into portable clinics allows patients to be seen by hundreds of remote healthcare specialists able to provide patients access to care they would not otherwise obtain without being connected virtually for medical consultations and examinations.”
