ATA’s EDGE 2017 Conference

The American Telemedicine Association’s EDGE 2017 conference to take place October 3-4, 2017 in Washington D.C https://ataedge.org/about-edge-2017 will push the boundaries of what is possible, what is needed, and how to connect the dots between practice, policy and delivery. Attendees will take a role in discussing issues that are going to shape the future of healthcare and innovation for years to come.

The new format for EDGE 2017 will enable attendees to experience the power of shared knowledge and real-world problem solving by taking part in 75 minute learning labs and hands-on sessions designed to foster conversation. Each lab will be a 360 degree collaboration to be led by a diverse group of industry thought leaders.

ATA has also developed a new Business Exchange designed to encourage a series of one-on-one conversations to enable attendees to optimize their organization’s telehealth program. The Business Exchange will include 20 minutes of one-on-one conversation seeking solutions on how to deliver the right products and services at the right time for explicit needs in the marketplace.

Experts in the field will come together from diverse backgrounds with key speakers to include Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs David Shulkin MD, John Glaser PhD Senior Vice President for Population Health at Cerner, Matthew Jansen Advisor KPMG’s Digital Health Advisor, and many more top leaders and experts in the field.

This year on October 4th, Conference attendees can play an active role visiting Capitol Hill along with telehealth industry leaders, stakeholders, policy innovators, and advocates. Right now, Congress is drafting, debating, and revising legislation that will have a lasting impact on the future of telemedicine.

After a briefing by ATA policy leadership along with a send-off by Senator Brian Schatz (D-HI), attendees will have the opportunity to play an active role in ATA’s Lobby Day on Capitol Hill.
