On May 5, 2017, the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) www.ninds.nih.gov an institute within NIH, posted a forecast for a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) on www.grants.gov/custom/printForecastDetails.jsp.
The FOA will seek applications for proposed projects involving translational activities and small clinical studies to advance therapeutic and diagnostic devices for disorders that affect the nervous system.
Eligible applicants can include institutions of higher education, city or township government, small businesses, Native American tribal organizations, for profit organizations other than small businesses, public and state controlled institutions of higher education, nonprofits, and state and county governments.
This notice is provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive projects. A formal synopsis is expected to be posted July 17, 2017. The estimated application due date is to be October 1, 2017, the estimated award date to be February 1, 2018, and the project to start June 1, 2018.
