Campaign to Eliminate Malaria

EXASOL www.exasol.com, an analytic database developer and PATH www.path.org an international nonprofit leader in health and innovation have created a partnership to support the Zambian government’s campaign to eliminate malaria by 2020.

The partnership between EXASOL, Zambian Ministry of Health, PATH, will work with other technical partners to include Alteryx, Mapbox, DataBlick, Twilio, DigitalGlobe, and Slalom.

The project will have access to the EXASOL database in the cloud on Amazon Web Services will enable the team to perform highly complex queries of not just “big data” but truly “massive data” with speed that will enable almost instant rendering to allow for real-time analysis.

Analysts with expertise in data analytics and visualization will be able to analyze and estimate where malaria cases will be more likely to occur. The aim is to find the relationship between the mosquito vector and the human carriers of the disease.
