Comcast Installs Services at Cascadia

Cascadia Behavioral Health www.cascadiabhc.com provides mental health and addiction treatment services to more than 15,000 clients across Oregon serving the residents of Multnomah, Clackamas, Lane, Washington, and Marion Counties.

The residents will receive up-to-date instant service with the newly deployed Comcast Business Ethernet www.comcastcorporation.com. The ability to share the most up-to-date information on each patient enables more efficient and effective treatments to be given to patients. Also, testing and diagnostics do not need to be repeated which can happen when care networks aren’t able to share information.

The clients benefiting from Cascadia’s programs include medical, mental health, wellness, and homelessness services. The program also provides community development projects including housing outreach and treatment for addition and gambling.

This deployment will enable Cascadia to quickly and securely share EMRs and test results between their 65 locations at speeds up to 100 Megabits per second (Mbps) as well as enable voice service powered by Comcast Business PRI Trunks.

Comcast’s fiber optic network provides scalable dedicated internet bandwidth for Cascadia’s staff plus an Ethernet Private Line delivers high capacity private data transfers between the 65 locations and Cascadia’s data center.

“This expansion not only benefits the individuals we serve in the greater Portland metropolitan area, but it also enables our 900 employees throughout the five counties to stay connected”, said Brandon Gatke, CIO and Director of Operations for Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare.
