The Agency for International Development (USAID) www.usaid.gov program through their Office of American Schools and Hospital Abroad (ASHA) program and the U.S Embassy of Mexico are collaborating with the ABC Hospital to acquire equipment for the ABC Hospital Medical Simulation Center.
The USAID/ASHA program provided grant funding for $400,000 to the ABC Medical Simulation Center which was used to purchase three human simulators. The simulators include Harvey www.lawrdal.com/us/harvey the cardiopulmonary patient simulator, Simbionix’s URO Mentor and HystSim http://simbionix.com/simulators/uro-mentor, and TURPSim www.virtamed.com/en/medical-training-simlators-urosim.
Commenting on the acquisition of the new simulators, USAID/Washington’s ASHA Director Katherine Crawford said, “The role that ABC Hospital is doing is incredible and the new Simulation Center will enable them to continue to train the highest quality of physicians and nurses.”
