The NIHCM Foundation www.nihcm.org invites Letters of Inquiry (LOI) for the 2016-2017 funding cycle outlining an innovative research project with the potential to advance the existing knowledge base in healthcare financing, delivery, management, and/or policy.
The Foundation plans to award four to five grants totaling $250,000 for the studies. The studies need to yield insights that can have a positive impact on the healthcare system by not only reducing spending, but also improve the quality of care, and expand access to insurance coverage and healthcare services.
Eligible applicants can include individual researchers, all types of organizations and institutions, including both nonprofit and for profit entities. Multiple organizations may apply jointly, but one organization must be named the principal organization with others working as a subcontractor.
LOIs must be submitted by July 11, 2016. Full (10 page) proposals will be invited from a small number of applicants in August and will be due in September 2016 with grant winners to be announced November 2016.
