RWJF’s Call for Proposals

States continue to play a critical role in the implementation of health reform. States have made different choices in the rollout of ACA, including whether to establish a State-Based Marketplace, use a Federal-State Partnership Model, or participate in the Federally Facilitated Marketplace.

In addition, some states are experimenting with new payment and delivery systems that integrate healthcare services and exploring opportunities to bridge health and social sectors to improve population health.

RWJF has released a solicitation to fund timely policy-relevant studies with strong empirical designs that will inform policy and health reform implementation. Eligible studies may be a single state, groups of states, or a national analyses using state-level data. RWJF is primarily interested in time studies that have policy relevance.

Total award funds will include up to $1.3 million, project funding will range from $50,000 to $150,000 and accommodate studies of six to twelve months. Eight to twelve studies will be funded.

Eligible applicants may include researchers, practitioners, and public and private policymakers working with researchers. Projects may be generated from disciplines that include health services research, economics, sociology, program evaluations, political science, public policy, public health, public administration, law, business administration, or other related fields.

The proposal is due on June 1, 2016 with finalists to be notified September 23, 2016. Go to www.rwjf.org then click on funding opportunities to view the RFP.
