ONC developed the Interoperability Proving Ground (IPG), www.healthit.gov/techlab/ipg an open community platform for people to share, learn, and be inspired by interoperability projects taking place across the U.S.
The IPG provides a simple way for everyone to share information on projects such as the title, description, and hyperlink to the project website, plus tag it with any standards or keywords that may be associated with it.
It is possible for everyone to easily filter and search across the entire interoperability project data base or view the interoperability projects nationwide on an interactive map. The IPG gives everyone a chance to showcase their interoperability work nationwide and also connect with peers tracking interoperability issues.
To jumpstart the IPG, many of ONC’s interoperability-related projects are included and the IPG will continue to be updated on an ongoing basis. In addition, the ONC will also coordinate with federal agencies to populate the IPG.
