2015 ATA Highlights

Honeywell Life Care Solutions www.honeywelllifecare.com (formerly Honeywell HomMed) displayed the newest version of their wireless, remote patient monitor the Genesis Touch™ 3.2 at the 2015 American Telemedicine Association Convention held in Los Angeles May 3-5.

Genesis Touch v3.2 features Wireless Bluetooth connectivity to a growing variety of peripheral medical devices, integrated one touch video, educational materials, a user-friendly platform that easily integrates with the LifeStream Management Suite, diabetic support with wireless connectivity to a variety of glucometers, and Canadian-French and Spanish language support.

Sentrian’s Remote Patient Intelligence Platform was named the 2015 winner of ATA’s President’s Award for Innovation in Remote Health Care at 2015 ATA. The company is working to eliminate all preventable hospitalizations. The company is applying advance analytics to remote biometric data streams to drive significant reductions in hospitalizations while increasing the efficiency of remote care teams.

Vitaphone www.vitaphone.de/us-en providing e-health solutions such as full service telemedicine and mobile health services, launched their new platform at ATA 2015. The goal for VITA health services is to better manage chronic disease in the U.S. market. The new platform enables remote patient monitoring of a variety of chronic medical conditions such as CHF, diabetes, COPD, hypertension, and other chronic illnesses.

AdEchoTech www.adechotech.com, a company operating in South America, Middle East, China, and Europe specializing in the design, manufacturing, and commercialization of biomedical equipment, introduced their MELODY robotized solution” at ATA 2015.

MELODY is a robotized tele-ultrasonography system to help with teleradiology. The solution helps when there is a lack of imaging experts in isolated areas and supports healthcare professionals who need ultrasound scan diagnosis to practice. The minimum internet bandwidth required to operate the full solution is only one Mbit/s.

NEC Corporation of America www.necam.com partnered with CareClix™ www.careclix.com  to incorporate their software-centric cloud-based solution into the enterprise healthcare communications base of NEC. NEC Telecare is a comprehensive enterprise-focused continuum of telehealth services delivering smart technology options so that organizations can execute practical, scalable and measurable end-to-end telehealth programs. NEC’s expertise in communications and networking both in the U.S and global markets will expand CareClix’s telemedicine solutions.

American Well www.americantelemed.org unveiled Telehealth 2.0 at 2015 ATA. This next generation product line expands the reach of telehealth by enabling physicians to reach their patients in the home setting or engage other providers where collaborative care is required. The mobile app enables providers to carry their practice with them.

Providers are now able to schedule appointments, review records, prescribe medications, encoding, collect payment, submit claims, and keep records. In caring for homebound and chronic patients, providers are able to review data collected electronically from patients’ home biometrics devices using built-in Apple Health integration.

HealthGrid www.healthgrid.md demonstrated their HealthGrid OTS™ which is an Open Telehealth Service able to connect app free to smartphones. The service enables providers to deliver branded care to patients over video chat clients that includes Apple’s FaceTime, Google Hangouts, and Microsoft Skype.

Righttime Medical Care www.myRightime.com a large urgent care provider and innovator located in the Baltimore/Washington area is the first urgent care center to pilot HealthGrid OTS and is helping 85 clinicians treat nearly 250,000 patients annually.
