The Galien Foundation and UBIFRANCE the French agency for international business development are joining forces to enable, encourage, and reward international partnerships between French and North American innovators within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical technology, healthcare industries, and e-health industries.
The program kicks off with the UBISTART Tour on July 10, 2014 at the New York Academy of Sciences located in New York City where the event will facilitate networking, matchmaking, and help US-French innovators connect with experienced reputable partners to discuss potential collaborations.
The second part of the program will be the UBISTART competition where U.S and French participants will apply as a team and submit a joint proposal by October 31, 2014. A panel of expert judges will review proposals and announce the nine most innovative and promising U.S French projects in November 2014.
Three winners will be announced during the 45th Prix Galien Awards Ceremony in Monaco on December 4, 2014 where the three winners will receive in U.S dollars $50,000, $30,000, and $20,000 respectively. The last phase of the program will be to implement the winning pilot projects with support and guidance provided by UBIFRANCE.
