Sources Sought Notice Issued

CMS is looking for small business sources to develop a market strategy to help CMS plan their strategy. CMS currently contracts with General Dynamics Information Technology operating and maintaining a large data warehouse containing Medicare and Medicaid data. Researchers find this valuable to use to identify chronically ill individuals which helps with a variety of health services and comparative effectiveness related topics.

The CMS Sources Sought Notice is looking for potential small businesses to provide information on how to support and operate a Chronic Condition Warehouse. General Dynamics operating the current warehouse, maintains and assesses data, links all the records together, flags specific chronically ill populations, provides virtual data access, assists with proposed research methods, provides analytic and research support, and operates help desks and a website.

The Chronic Warehouse Sources Sought Notice (140167) posted February 12, 2014 is not a solicitation for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this specific notice. The response date for this notice is March 27, 2014. To view the Sources Sought CCW Notice, go to www.fbo.gov. Point of contact is Rosetta Rodwell, at rosetta.rodwell@cms.hhs.gov or call 410-786-5744.
