The Quality Health Foundation, the charitable arm of Quality Health Strategies, a nonprofit organization, has announced a call for proposals from nonprofit organizations located in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
The objective is to improve healthcare for individuals and communities through measurable outcome improvement projects. Over the last three years, the Foundation awarded more than $1.1 million to twenty one organizations. Since 2006, QHF has awarded grants totaling over $2.65 million to 49 different organizations in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Funding priorities for the 2014 grant cycle include improving treatment through the use of best practices, improving access to healthcare services, improving understanding of health issues, and improving measurable outcomes.
Applicants for this call for proposals will be competing for a total of $350,000 in awards. This project will enable the foundation to fund projects that directly affect individuals and their communities. This includes developing service demonstration programs that will produce high-impact results on health outcomes.
Applicants must be from Maryland where Delmarva Foundation for Medical Care is the CMS Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) or from the District of Columbia where Delmarva Foundation of the District of Columbia is the CMS QIO.
