The program also assists companies with their commercialization plans for Phase II applications. It is also part of the program to introduce small businesses to potential partners.

The Niche Assessment Program is interested in all types of technologies such as those developing clinical products such as devices, drugs, biologics, and therapeutics as well as those companies developing software, educational, and multi-media behavioral science products.

The program is in place to help those seeking strategic alliances, investors, and/or immediate customers. One hundred thirty eight slots are available and will be filled on a first come first served basis. The average time to complete a Technology Niche Analysis is two to three months.
