ATA Hosting EDGE Policy Conference

The American Telemedicine Association (ATA), http://americanelemed.org, the only organization addressing telehealth policy from all angles, will host the 2022 EDGE Policy Conference, December 7-9 at the Park Hyatt, Washington, D.C to discuss telehealth policy from state and federal legislative priorities as well as international policy perspectives.

This year’s EDGE Policy Conference will take a practical look forward into the next phase of telehealth adoption and feature dynamic sessions. Speakers will explore what is necessary to do to overcome ongoing policy obstacles while maintaining telehealth’s positive momentum and bipartisan support.

Speakers will include innovators and policymakers, providing perspectives from the White House to state capitals, as well as from healthcare delivery system executives and clinicians on the front lines, along with telehealth policy advocates from all corners of healthcare.

Sessions will focus on telehealth’s implications on policy, updates, and priorities for state, federal, and international policy initiatives, and discuss what is at stake and necessary to drive policy momentum.

  • Clinicians’ Perspectives on Telehealth and provide insights on telehealth policies and how the nation’s physicians are utilizing telehealth almost three years into the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Business Case for Telehealth Policy to discuss Federal Solutions to SUDs along with information on current priorities in telemental health
  • ATA State & Federal Policy Updates and a Look Forward towards 2023, challenges for interoperability, hospital at home, and more
  • Policy Trends and Considerations in Remote Monitoring concerning the expansion of RM, how public payors like Medicare are covering RM, and how states are handling RM in terms of the practice of medicine laws
  • Heard on the Hill and the latest on telehealth legislation, the outlook for telehealth permanency, Hill priorities and concerns, and the challenges and opportunities ahead for telehealth legislation
  • Ensuring Telehealth Program Integrity where a former federal prosecutor will provide an insider’s view on the government’s concerns around fraud, waste, and abuse, and strategies to ensure care is delivered in an appropriate way
