The HITEQ is in place to support health centers and their use of EHRs in order to collect accurate clinical data and then use the data to support positive health outcomes for all health center patients.to support HRSA Partners such as Health Center Controlled Networks (HCCN), Primary Care Associations, National Cooperative Agreements, and Health Centers.
Health Centers are currently seeking guidance on webinars, services and projects targeted toward providing Health Center health IT support, health information exchange, development of Health IT/QI workforce development, value based payment, privacy & security, population health management and social determinants of health, and telehealth.
HITEQ has made several resources available in 2022. One of the available resources is the HITEQ Center Podcast which highlights stories of leveraging EHR, health IT, digital health tools, and other virtual care supports for health centers during COVID-19 pandemic. Stories are available that demonstrate the promise of digital and health IT tools to address the needs of health centers and their patients.
HITEQ also has released a brief titled “Telehealth and Digital Tools Equity Assessment” which contains questions health centers can ask potential vendors. The questions can be directed to what tools to use to support equitable access and how to best address the needs of the health center’s population.
