Director Hired for Device Security

The Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Health-ISAC) https://h-isac.orga global non-profit to help healthcare organizations handle cyber and physical security threats, has announced that Phil Englert is the New Health-ISAC Global Director for Medical Device Security.

Phil Englert will lead Health-ISAC’s medical device security program by working with Medical Device Manufacturers (MDM) to help improve privacy and security while coordinating with Health Delivery Organizations (HDO) to ensure implementations are practical and achievable.

The new Director will also serve as subject matter expert and contributor to Health-ISAC’s Medical Device Security Information Sharing Council (MDSISC) to bring together over 300 people from HDOs and MDMs and stakeholders in medical device security. The goal is to develop solutions and to facilitate the exchange of information to help secure medical devices.

He is also going to coordinate with regulators, government partners, standards organizations, MDMs, HDOs, industry associations, and other partners to help build resiliency for emerging medical technologies and changing cyber threats.
