Sequoia Releases Draft SOPs

The Sequoia Project https://sequoiaproject.org selected by ONC as the Recognized Coordinating Entity (RCE) to support the implementation of TEFCA, has released additional draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) pertaining to Individual Access Services (IAS) Exchange Purpose, and foreign ownership.

The draft IAS Exchange Purpose Implementation (SOP) describes specific requirements that IAS Providers are required to follow for individual identity verification. It also identifies when a QUIN, Participant, or Subparticipant is required to respond to an IAS request.

The draft Means to Demonstrate U.S. Ownership and Control of a QHIN SOP describes how an entity seeking to be Designated as a QUIN can demonstrate that it satisfies the requirements of Section 4.1(i) of the Common Agreement.

The Sequoia Project is seeking both general feedback from the public on the draft IAS Exchange Purpose Implementation SOP, as well as responses to specific questions posed within the SOP. The Sequoia Project is also seeking general feedback from the public on the draft Means to Demonstrate U.S. Ownership and Control of a QUIN SOP and accompanying questionnaire.

RCE is seeking stakeholder input on the drafts through July 29, 2022. The draft IAS Exchange Purpose Implementation SOP, draft Means to Demonstrate U.S. Ownership and Control of a QUIN SO, and respective online submission forms are available now.
