Grants for High Risk Rural Areas

HRSA within HHS is making estimated grant funding for $13 million available to increase access to behavioral healthcare services and to address health inequities in rural America. 

HRSA posted grant notice HRSA 22-061 titled Rural Communities Opioid Response Program-Behavioral Health Care Support (RCORP-BHS) on January 18, 2022.

 HRSA’s Federal Office of Rural Health Policy is providing the awards through the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP), a multi-year initiative by HRSA aimed at reducing the morbidity and mortality of Substance Use Disorders including Opioid Use Disorders in high risk rural communities.

Eligible applicants can include Native American tribal governments and organizations nonprofits public and state controlled institutions of higher education, for profit organizations, small businesses plus others

Approximately 26 grants will be awarded with the period of performance to be 9/22-8/26.The closing date for applications is April 19, 2022.
